So, I'm building a computer, and I have been running into problems. Many problems. Some problems required skill to solve (such as resetting the BIOS, cleaning thermal paste off the tiny CPU connectors, checking for short circuits - much help was given to me by a good, and much more computer-savvy, friend). Some problems demonstrated my lack of skill (such as getting confused by the ON/OFF switch, an event which provided unending amusement to my good, and much more computer-savvy, friend). After navigating through said problems, I discovered this morning that my motherboard is not compatible with my graphics card. So it was off to Amazon to remedy that particular issue. Which made my bank account feel a little sad. By the time that transaction was complete, I was feeling a little like this:
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
But then I managed to 'fix' a fancy-looking Samsung monitor which I thought was a lost cause. When I say 'fix', I mean I uncovered and managed to work around a mind-numbingly ridiculous design-flaw. A flaw so very perplexing, horrendously ill-conceived and stupid that discovering it made me feel a little more like this:
┬─┬ノ( º _ ºノ)
And the flaw was thus: in order to use the monitor, you must first download a driver. Which requires being able to see the web browser. Which requires a monitor.
And that is so very remarkable that I felt the need to share it with you all. Thankfully, I have a spare monitor which I can use to install the driver needed to run the fancy one.
Logical Vacuum, thy name is Samsung.

Still Alive!
Hey all! Just wanted to put in a quick word to say I'm still here, I've just been unbelievably busy for the past few months, hence the lack of uploads. I'm still working on Shapes, and I'd like to apologise to my readers for the fact that you've had to wait sooooooooooo long for a new page. It definitely hasn't been abandoned, in fact I have the next page outlined and waiting to be coloured, which is awesome but also really frustrating as I just haven't had the spare time to work on it. I'm really hoping that in the next few weeks things will calm down and I'll be able to get back to producing a page a week. Thanks to everyone who's read the
Applications and Such
Hi all! I was browsing through my gallery and realised it's been the best part of a month since the last Shapes update. Sorry about that guys! Life's been pretty busy recently as I've been moving house, looking for jobs, and collaborating with a lovely fellow deviant on her awesome manga project. And here I was thinking that things would be quiet once uni finished ;) It feels like I've barely stopped for the last few weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to settle into some employment pretty soon (which would mean my own place, which is super exciting!) and if so, I'll be able to start updating Shapes on a regular basis. Ideally, I'd like to upload a
4 1/2 Weeks to Freedom
Hello all! Just as a heads up, there may not be anymore Shapes updates until May. Lame! Very lame, but for good reason. This is my last year of university and the deadlines are rearing their ugly heads. The good news is, come 9th May, everything will be handed in and I will be a free woman, which means lots more art being uploaded on a regular basis and, more importantly, lots more Shapes! Just wanted to reassure everyone that if no Shapes appear in the next few weeks, fear not, I haven't abandoned it (it's my baby, and I love it so), it's just simmering on the back burner until all the nasty assignments are dealt with.
I usually spend a lon
Just Discovered an Incredibly Useful Trick on PSE
...so useful I think I shall make a tutorial about it. Basically it's a way to extract outlines from a flattened image without losing very much detail. Life = 100% easier.
So, you may have noticed I haven't posted any Shapes for a while, but soon, very soon. Well, hopefully very soon. I have a lot of real world responsibilities at the moment, so it may have to be delayed a little while longer, but it will surface eventually - it's about 1/4 completed at the moment.
Since you'll probably have to wait a little longer, I'll tide you over by saying there'll be a new little goddess on the next page. Who? Well, I'll give you a clue - she has two
