So, I'm building a computer, and I have been running into problems. Many problems. Some problems required skill to solve (such as resetting the BIOS, cleaning thermal paste off the tiny CPU connectors, checking for short circuits - much help was given to me by a good, and much more computer-savvy, friend). Some problems demonstrated my lack of skill (such as getting confused by the ON/OFF switch, an event which provided unending amusement to my good, and much more computer-savvy, friend). After navigating through said problems, I discovered this morning that my motherboard is not compatible with my graphics card. So it was off to Amazon to remedy that particular issue. Which made my bank account feel a little sad. By the time that transaction was complete, I was feeling a little like this:

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

But then I managed to 'fix' a fancy-looking Samsung monitor which I thought was a lost cause. When I say 'fix', I mean I uncovered and managed to work around a mind-numbingly ridiculous design-flaw. A flaw so very perplexing, horrendously ill-conceived and stupid that discovering it made me feel a little more like this:

┬─┬ノ( º _ ºノ)

And the flaw was thus: in order to use the monitor, you must first download a driver. Which requires being able to see the web browser. Which requires a monitor.

And that is so very remarkable that I felt the need to share it with you all. Thankfully, I have a spare monitor which I can use to install the driver needed to run the fancy one.

Logical Vacuum, thy name is Samsung.
